History Day

 History Day Time Line & Due Dates
Late work will receive a grade reduction based on each assignment.

  • January 8th, 2009 – final draft of all paper work due (All projects)
  • Warrior History Day  (read carefully & know your category)
    • January 15th ONLY Historical Papers due for Judging
      • Turn paper work (3 copies) in to Mr. Watson before 8:45 a.m. in room 126
    • January 21st - setup after school @ The Jones Center for Families (Ind. & Group Exhibits)
    • January 22nd   - Contest judging
      • ONLY performances and documentaries will attend, everyone else will remain at school
      • Projects can be taken down after 4:00 p.m. and before 9:00 p.m.
      • # of entries qualifying for Regional History Day to be determined
  • January 27th, 2009 – Regional History Day project entry forms & fees due in room 126 by 8:45 a.m.
    • Remember to include 4 copies of your entry form and paper work  
  • Regional History Day – March 5th, 2009 @ the Jones Center for Families
    • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners qualify to compete @ History Day in Arkansas
  • History Day in Arkansas – April 18th, 2009 in Conway, AR @ UCA (we will leave the day before)
    • 1st & 2nd place winners qualify to compete @ National History Day
  • National History Day – June 14th – 18th, 2009 in College Park, MD/Washington D.C.
